Welcome to my blog.

This is where you can talk to me about anything.

I will make posts and you can comment on them as I make them.

I hope you enjoy your stay.

Please sign the guest book, on my main site (link is to the right) so that I know who you are when you visit.

I just realized there is a 3 minute wait between being able to comment. I have no control over this. It is apparently in the template for the blog, and I can't find where it is. If anyone can suggest where to look so I can change it, please let me know.

Thanks again for visiting.

What is Malala Day?

Malala Day celebrates the birthday of Malala Yousafzai, the girl who was shot for bravely defying the Taliban and attending school. This year, she has traveled to Nigeria to see the plight of girls, like her, in great danger for simply going to school.

I think everyone no matter whether you're rich or poor, what race you are, what country you live in, whether or not you have a disability, or whether you're male or female, should be able to have an education.

What these girls are going through, most of us can't even fathom.  We have an education system that allows us to be able to go to whatever school we choose to.  These girls don't have that choice.  They are forced NOT to go to school, and Malala stood up for her right to do so, and got SHOT for it.

Malala's Birthday Wish
No one should face the fear of knowing that they'd be shot if they tried to go to school.  I think Malala is doing a good thing for the girls of the world that can't speak for themselves.  I agree with her that we "need to raise our voices" and show those in power that we are not going to go down without a fight.

Malala Day Social
Although I'm posting this a day late, it shouldn't matter.  Everyday should be Malala Day.  We should never forget those that were not "born free" and are not allowed the many freedoms that most of the world takes for granted.

We should never forget that people die for causes like this every day of the year.  Every day should be Malala Day for every woman, boy, and girl to be able to have an education and a chance at a better future.

I'm posting a link to this post on FaceBook.  If you agree with my post, please make a comment there so that Malala and the rest of the world knows that they are not alone in their thoughts of wanting an education.

WE WILL NOT FEAR THOSE WHO WANT TO CONTROL US.  WE WILL GET OUR EDUCATION NO MATTER WHAT IT TAKES.  LET US ALL TELL MALALA THAT WE AGREE WITH HER. FOLLOW THIS LINK, AND TELL MALALA THAT YOU STAND WITH HER BY SIGNING YOUR NAME TO HER CAUSE.

Thank You!
